If you wish to take advantage of valet parking, it is $2.00 for every 30 minutes and a maximum limit of 24 hours with a charge of $25.00.

The short term parking garage also offers you a place to put your vehicle while you are inside the airport. The garage is above the terminal and vehicle clearance is standard 6 feet 8 inches. The first hour for short term parking is free, then $1 is charged for every 20 minutes after. A limit of 24 hours is set with a charge of $20.00.

At the corner of Sarasota and Brendan Street, there is alternative off-site parking for those who are looking for a good place to park their vehicles. There are security measures taken to ensure the safety of your vehicle while it is in the confines of the lot. These include functional cameras as well as guards who will make it so that no unauthorized vehicles or individuals enter.

Another option is using the parking lot of the Sleep Inn Hotel at the corner of Davis and Harrisburg. It offers reasonable rates and a secure gated-off section reserved specifically for airport parking. It is only a short distance from the airport and it will give you the place you need to park your vehicle, whether long-term or short-term.

You can also take the Tampa Bay Shuttle to get to the airport. The Hartline Bus is another option and many people are taking less luggage due to so many airports charging now for check-in baggage.

I had a pit stop in Tampa and it was a great airport. I felt safe there and it was really nice to change planes there. I didn’t get to explore the town though.

I am not sure why people always go to Orlando and don’t want to go to the tampa bay area to see it’s beauty. It has a beautiful charm that is subtle.
