Kansas City Airport Parking: MCI Airport Guide

If you’re leaving town for a few day or more, it might be better to leave your car at an off-site parking garage where the rates are a cheaper than Kansas City Airport Parking at MCI. Most of these parking garages offer parking services bundled with other value-added services such as luggage assistance, drop-off and pick-up services to and from the airport, and some will even pre-warm your car in the winter before returning it to you.

At Kansas City, there are several parking garages to choose from with distances that range 0.5 to 3.5 miles away from Kansas City International Airport (KCI). The most popular of these choices is Thrifty, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their airport shuttles leave every five minutes, making it convenient for airline passengers to simply park their car and head to the airport the soonest time possible.

Another airport parking garage is Park Air Express. Car owners have the option to either park their car outdoors or in a covered parking lot. Park Air Express is also a favorite among travelers because of their excellent service, with their customer service representatives waiting on you to assist with luggage and your shuttle to the airport.

The Parking Spot, only 2 miles away from Kansas City International Airport, will even give you an interactive tour of its services on its website. Upon entering the parking garage, a shuttle will be dispatched to follow you to your parking slot. Yes, that means that you are picked up as soon as you exit your car. A complimentary USA Today newspaper is also handed as soon as you check in. As soon as you arrive from your trip, you can simply board the shuttle since it makes rounds at the airport every five minutes or so. If you arrive off-hours, you can call the number on your locator slip to request a pickup.

If proximity to the airport is your utmost priority, then Kansas City International Airport Parking is the best way to go, for just an additional few bucks. As always plan things out in terms of Murphy’s law. It seems that delays are always happening when you need to get to the airport on time!

Sometimes it is called KCI and not MCI. They may have changed their letters. Also they now have free wifi at kansas city airport terminals.
