Chicago Airport Parking: How to Get to Airport and Where to Park

Chicago O’Hare airport is about twenty miles northwest from the Downtown area. If you are staying in downton Chicago you can take the Blue Line Rail Service to get to airport. Are you thinking of parking near the airport? There are options for that as well.

You can park at Thrifty and they will get you to airport. They also have valet service and can take care of your car. You can also park at either the Crown Hotel or Marriot and they have round the clock shuttle services. Park and Jet is another option for leaving your car when you travel at a parking lot service. One option some people choose is to park at a downtown parking lot and take public transportation to the airport, but this can get quite expensive. The DoubleTree also has airport parking available.

Also keep in mind that Chicago Midway Airport and Chicago O’Hare airport are different! You want to be going to the right location!

If you are wanted to take a bus you can catch one by contacting the Chicago Transit Authority and figuring out which works best for your location. Once you are in terminal you can use the airport’s own airport transit system.

What criterion should you use when you are thinking about a service lot for your car near the airport? Do they have 24 hour transportation back and forth? Is there a surveillance camera on-site? Will they guarantee your reservation? Is it well-lit or in the dark? Can you get extra perks if you wish- ie valet service, have your car washed etc? Take these into account as you make your decision.

Yeah my friend thought that parking at o hare airport and chicago midway were the same place. He was just there for 2 months so I guess was confused. I have not compared the o hare parking rates with the parking chicago midway airport to compare. There was a seinfeld where I think he mixed up parking at jfk airport and laguardia to get someone that was hilarious. I also liked the Seinfeld where they were betting on which flights were delayed at the airport - maybe that was in newark airport? HA!
