I’m a bit biased as I live down here, but the beaches on the east coast are just gorgeous. If you are down in Florida for Disney, take some time to check out Deerfield Beach as well as Lauderdale by the Sea near Commercial Blvd. These beaches are mid-way between Miami and West Palm Beach. The water is eighty four degrees and it’s the end of October.
One of my favorite times to go to the beach is when the sky is a bit cloudy. Yes , you do get ultraviolet rays so you need protection! It can be deceptive.
This picture was taken at Deerfield Beach. There are also very nice spots all along A1A as you travel south from there including the Hillsboro Inlet and on the right side going south you can find spots to sit and look at the intercoastal waters. At the Hillsboro Inlet you can go out on a fishing boat as well if you are looking for something to do. There’s also a cute place where you can get bagels or eat breakfast.
At Lauderdale by the Sea you’ll find a number of restaurants and a nice pier. There is no lifeguard there so if you have kids keep that in mind.
